Welcome back to Weston Hills Primary School. We hope you all had a well earned half break! It's lovely to have the children back smiling and raring to go with their learning.
In Literacy this week the children have been making links through their reading using passive and active voice. They have also finished writing up their stories in the style of David Walliams and were able to share their stories with the class. Their stories have been amazing - watch out for future authors!!!
In Science, we looked at which symbols are used to draw an electric circuit and made one using limited materials. During their investigations they discovered that the higher voltage you use, the brighter the light became.
Design and Technology was a lot of fun this week. The children investigated the aerodynamics of an airplane. Each group used 3 pieces of paper and made these into 3 different shapes to see which shaped plane flew the furthest. They problem solved and worked together to find out why some shaped planes worked better than others.
