WORLD BOOK DAY 2019

World Book Day was celebrated with a 'story forest' assembled in the school hall.  It was wonderful to see such a variety of stories, book styles and authors.  The children enjoyed sharing their books, the memories they evoked and why their chosen title was special to them.  We followed on by grouping into house teams and spending time sharing our special titles.  Everyone had something to say and it was a wonderful reminder of the power of print and what a glorious thing books are.

Whole School Science Photography Competition

In the lead up to Science Week, we would like you to take a photo that shows a local area of beauty or a local eyesore area. Take the time to discuss together with your child why the area is pleasing or displeasing and the local environmental impacts it might have. Then add a title or caption to your photo and hand in to your class teacher by Monday 11th March- the first day of Science Week!

Staff will choose a winning photo from EYFS/KS1 and one from KS2. Winners will be announced during Science Week with prizes presented during our assembly with parents on Wednesday 20th March. Photos will be displayed in school.
