Term 2

Welcome to Term 2

This has already been a very busy term for Cherry Class.

Cherry Class Pop-In Session - 3rd December 2019

Thank you to all those parents and relatives who were able to join us for Christmas activities, sharing stories and looking at our books during our pop-in session.

On Friday 14th November, Children in Cherry Class supported the Children In Need charity by making their own eye patches and buying them.  The school also held a non-uniform day in which you could wear something 'spotty' for a donation and we also had a 'Bring and Buy Sale' at the end of the day.  The total monies raised overall was £417.77.  Thank you to everybody that came along and supported this worthy cause.

The children enjoyed a visit from the GIST lorry on Tuesday 12th November where they came  to educate us on road safety which is endorsed by the national road safety charity 'Brake'.  We even got to go inside a cab of an articulated lorry to learn first hand about stopping distances.

A huge thank you to Andy and Claire from Gist, the children loved the whole experience and were so enthusiastic about this important element of road safety and traffic awareness.

We have also had a delivery of 10 new balance bikes.  Mrs Fletcher is taking a group out each term to practise their pre-balance bike skills during our PE lessons.
