Christmas is coming soon, and so Willow class got the opportunity to create some wonderful-looking Christingles. We also had some children from Oak class visit us to create some Christingles of their own.
Today, we had a wonderful opportunity to share everything we've been doing with some parents, such as our boards games, amulets and even our Egyptian dance routine.
It was a busy day today as Willow class painted their Egyptian amulets - there some fantastic designs!
For P.E this week, the children followed an inspire+ exercise routine and also practised their dance routine for the Bangles' famous song: Walk Like an Egyptian.
Willow class got creative this week as they began to create their mummies and sarcophagus's using masking tape and foil.
Continuing on with our topic of Ancient Egypt, Willow class looked at different maps of Egypt and recreated their own maps using chalk.
For literacy, we used magazines and newspapers to look at the use of powerful language and its effect it can have on the reader. The children then worked in groups to discuss and write down some of the most effective words.
Today, Willow class have been working with clay as they began to create their own Egyptian amulets.
