Weston Hills C of E Primary School

A very warm welcome to Weston Hills Church of England Primary School, thank you for visiting our website. We are fortunate to have a purpose built, eco-friendly building on the edge of Weston Hills village, which we moved into in 2005.  The school is set within extensive grounds that are further enhanced with trim trails, nature and gardening areas, an outdoor classroom, generous playground space and a large field.

We have high expectations of every child and aim to ensure each child reaches their full potential.  We are very proud of our many achievements which we hope you will enjoy finding out about as you explore our school website.

Weston Hills prides itself on the calm, purposeful atmosphere within school and we work very closely with the local church to create a supportive, family orientated Christian community.  The staff and governors at Weston Hills work together to provide a broad, stimulating and relevant learning experience for all the children during their time with us.  Our themed, creative curriculum is supported through regular trips, topic focus days and by inviting specialist visitors into school; this brings the learning to life and ensures that it is relevant to the children.

We encourage and nurture the children to become independent learners and they are active participants in the running of the school.  They are involved in decision making through the school council, take on responsibilities for activities within the classroom and school, and many of the older children help to run clubs or act as playground buddies.  Our PTA is very active, organising social and fundraising events.  We place great value on our friendly and welcoming atmosphere which encourages all parents to work closely with school and be fully involved in every aspect of their children's time at Weston Hills.

The school is well-resourced and has invested in a range of technology, including iPads, PC's and laptops, to ensure that the children are able to use these at all times to support their learning.  We have a large school hall which is used for lunches, assemblies and PE. There is a popular Breakfast Club every morning from 8am and we also provide a broad range of extra-curricular opportunities at the end of the day.
