Term 3
Welcome Back to Term 3
On Wednesday 7th February we had a visit in school from Music Dave who came to show us how to create an ambience on Djembe drums. We were amazing! We listened, we followed and we had great rhythm.
On Friday 2nd February we peeled, chopped, cooked and ate vegetable soup and fruit salad. The children were amazing and tried everything. We are so proud of our little chefs!
On Thursday 18th January we had a 'Space Day' in Cherry and Oak Class.
First we got to eat the yummy ice-cream that we had previously made and then compared it to Astronaut ice-cream!
We were then very lucky to go inside the planeterium where we learned about the planets, the space station, the moon landing and the stars - it was brilliant!
Next we put on our space boots and tried to complete an obstacle course, this was very tricky and very funny!
After lunch we used a hammer and nails to create the solar system in wood, it is going to look brilliant once it is finished.
Finally we went into the hall with Cherry class and played with the parachute to experience g-force, followed by then ordering the planets for our memory game.
A fantastic day was had by all. Thank you to everyone that supplied a costume, the children looked out of this world.
On Tuesday 16th January we made ice-cream!

This term we are learning all about Space!
Our PE days will be on a Monday and Thursday each week so please ensure that your child has their PE kit in school on their peg for those days and also a water bottle in school daily.
