Monday 19th July 2021
Today we had 'Sports day' in our Oak class bubble. We had lots of fun running, jumping, dribbling and balancing. Everyone looked amazing in their colourful clothes and sparkles!

Today 'Starlincs Planetarium' came into school and we explored space. We were completely stargazed!

Tuesday 13th July 2021
We had a visit today from 'Ark ICT' who gave us the opportunity to go under the Ocean using virtual reality headsets. We swam among the stingrays, fish, turtles, starfish, jellyfish, coral and almost got eaten by a shark!
After this we even got to ride a roller coaster and we all put our arms in the air for the big drops!

Today we have had a visit from Ark Farm with rabbits, guinea pigs, a tortoise, a hedgehog, an owl, goats, a dog, a pig, chickens, ducks, a donkey and lambs!
We were very lucky to be able to get up and close to them all and even stroke them! Please see the gallery page for more photos.
Tuesday 6th July 2021
Today we have had a fantastic morning 10am to lunchtime making dens with Chris. We had to use canes and zip ties to make the structures and then use tarpaulin and pegs to make the cover. Chris then tested the quality of each den by throwing a bucket of water over it whilst we were inside! Poor Theo and Arlo got soaked. Chris was very impressed with how well we listened, how well behaved we were and how well we working in teams. Well done Oak class!

In RE we are learning about Islam and how Muslims follow a straight path. This was clearly represented by Cam running a straight clear race, while Mylee had obstacles in her way, a bit like life. We talked about following a straight path morally with the choices we make and the actions we take. Muslims believe in one God who created the world to live in harmony.

Today we had a 'Skipping Workshop' in school led by Georgia. Some of us did find skipping a bit tricky but we all persevered and had lots of fun!

In Literacy we have been exploring newspapers and learning how to write a newspaper report. Ask us about the interesting facts we have found out.

Today we were luck enough to have a climbing wall come to school. We are so proud of everyone in Oak class that had a go and showed perseverance. It was a fantastic opportunity and the children really enjoyed themselves.
