Today the children in Oak class and Cherry class both had a virtual author visit from Sharon Davey, the author and illustrator of ‘Oh! Sir Bragalot’. It was a perfect fit for our topic ‘People Who Rule Us’ and was a great opportunity to ask a real-life author about her work and also to learn about how she creates her characters.
This term our geography/history topic is ‘People Who Rule Us’. We will be learning about both Queen Elizabeth II and Queen Victoria. In literacy we will be writing information texts, a story and letters and in maths we will be focussing on addition and subtraction.
Our science and DT work will focus on materials and in art, we will be painting and printing. We will continue our RE and music sessions with Mrs Nicholls and our PE sessions with Mr Sharman but also with Jack from Inspire+. This term’s digital literacy will focus on Online Relationships and in computing, we will learn about algorithms. We will also start to work on our Nativity play and have a trip to the cinema planned and a Royal Banquet day with a virtual author visit.
