Welcome to Term 2

This term, our topic is Chocolate which links in very well to our Science work of States of Matter (there will be lots of melting chocolate!).

It is our term for swimming each Friday so please remember swimming kits (including hats!) every Friday morning. Our other PE session will remain on a Monday so no need to wear PE kits on a Wednesday until AFTER Christmas.

In English, we will be learning more grammar such as adverbials, prepositions and determiners to apply in our narrative writing, instructions (recipes) and persuasive texts (adverts).

In Maths, we will continue to practise the column method for addition and subtraction alongside working our ways through multiplication and division facts and methods eg the grid method.

Our art work is based around paper and we will continue drumming in music on a Tuesday.

Computing includes the Digital Literacy aspect of online reputation and for Computer Science/IT we will be using programmes including PowerPoint and Publisher along with iMovie to create a media campaign to 'sell' the chocolate bars we will be designing and making in our D and T work.

Wow! Then it will be Christmas. A BUSY term.

Our core Christian School Values are: FAITH, HOPE & LOVE This year we will explore the core values through: Hope, Perseverance, Generosity, Respect, Courage and Friendship.
