Welcome

A very warm welcome to Weston Hills Church of England Primary School, thank you for visiting our website which we hope you will enjoy exploring. We are proud to be a Church of England School and our Christian values of Faith, Hope and Love underpin everything we do. Our mission is to develop children's faith in God and in themselves, nurture hope and ambition and teach them how to love one another within our family orientated school community. 'Learning together in a community that cares.'

Weston Hills School prides itself on a calm, friendly and inclusive atmosphere where we encourage every child to reach their full potential. We work very closely with our local church, St Johns, to create a supportive, family orientated community strengthened by  our Christian values. The staff and governors at Weston Hills offer a broad, stimulating and relevant learning experience for all the children throughout their time with us.

Our themed, creative curriculum is supported through regular trips, topic focus days and by inviting specialist visitors into school; this brings the learning to life and ensures that it is relevant to the children. We encourage and nurture the children to become independent learners and they are active participants in the running of the school. The children are involved in decision making through the School Council and Worship Council, and they take on many different roles of responsibility as Team Leaders, Sports Ambassadors, Mini-Police and Playground Leaders.

We place great value on our friendly and welcoming atmosphere which encourages all parents to work closely with school and be fully involved in every aspect of their children’s time at Weston Hills. Working with our parents and carers, we organise a number of fundraising events which help to provide some of those ‘special extras’ in school.

The school is well-resourced and has invested in a range of technologies which the children use to support their learning. We have a large school hall which is used for lunches, assemblies, school productions and PE. There is a popular Breakfast Club every morning  and we also provide a broad range of extra-curricular opportunities at the end of the day.

We are fortunate to have a purpose built, Eco friendly building on the edge of Weston Hills village. The school is set within extensive grounds that are further enhanced with trim trails, nature areas, an outdoor classroom, generous playground space and a large field.

If you are interested in your child attending Weston Hills please do contact us to arrange a visit and a tour of the school. For children starting in Reception in September we offer two open days in the preceeding Autumn term.

Our core Christian School Values are: FAITH, HOPE & LOVE This year we will explore the core values through: Hope, Perseverance, Generosity, Respect, Courage and Friendship.
