Term 5
Friday 26th April 2024
This week our classroom has been invaded by all kinds of creatures. We have 2 African Land Snails that are called Lucky and Bazuka. We have 5 Stick Insects and 5 Caterpillars.
In PE, on Thursday, we played a cat and mouse game and then practiced our football skills.
On Monday, in RE, we acted out the story of Palm Sunday. Octavia was the donkey and Toby was Jesus. The rest of us were the crowd who were shouting Hosanna and waving flags, ribbons and palm leaves to welcome Jesus.
Friday 19th April 2024
On Thursday afternoon we did PE with Mrs Edwards. We are trying different Invasion Games so we played bulldog and we practised our football dribbling and stooping the ball with our feet.
In maths this week, the reception children have been learning about 'teen' numbers. So far we have learnt about 11, 12 and 13 but later today we will do the next number- 14. We know that the 1 at the start of the number isn't really a 1 it is actually a 10. The Year 1's have been working with numbers up to 100.
We have started our new topic all about insects. Some of us have already made our own butterflies and dragonflies.
