Mash Up!

Today, we linked with over 50 primary schools (about 4500 children) to join in the Mash Up celebration organised by the Lincolnshire Music service. We played two songs on our Samba drums as well as watching two bands play and even tried beatboxing!

Please Can You Help?!

It is only a week until the Summer Fayre and we are in desperate need of some prizes for our stall. Can you please help? We would love to receive anything you can spare- unwanted gifts, sweets, toys, toiletries, etc, etc. Thank you. yesheart

Transition Morning

It looks like Holly Class are going to be an absolutely BRILLIANT class again in September! heart

Eco-Centre

What a fabulous day hidden away in a woodland near Skegness. Travis was SO impressed with Holly Class- he told us that he has never had a class that knew so much in the 20 years he has been there! The children really were impressive, sharing all their knowledge of what we have been covering over the past few months. It was a privilege to see!

Bee Keeping Hobby

A huge thank you to Isabelle for sharing information about her hobby. Such a great presentation with gifts for everyone (honey, bee badges and stickers!)

Magnets

In our groups, we took time to investigate the many different magnets and feedback what we had found. Magnets are great fun!

Maths Measurements

Today we have been applying our reading partially numbered scales skills to measuring out exact amounts of water with a partner and checking the accuracy of each other's results. It was a challenge!

Applying our Dictionary Using Skills

There were lots of words in our story to clarify the meanings of so we got our trusty dictionaries out.

Pond Dipping

Whilst half of the class were at the Mini-Olympics event in Grantham, the other half had a really successful afternoon of pond dipping and invertebrates hunting. Such a lovely afternoon!

Mini-Olympics

What a great day at the Meres Centre in Grantham!

Debating

We have been holding some fantastic debates this week, the children expressing their ideas clearly with reasons using good debating manners.

Weston Hills Wombles

Our litter collecting Wombles were out again this week helping to keep the village tidy.

World Oceans Day- Climate Change and the Oceans

As part of World Oceans Day, we joined in a live lesson online with the Marine Conservation Society looking at the impact that global warming is having on the oceans. This linked to the work we have been doing in class for our topic Fragile Planet. Everyone has ideas about how they can play there part because if everyone does a little, it can make such a difference.

Science Investigations about Friction

The children have led their own group investigations to find out which surface slows down a toy vehicle the most ie which surface causes the most friction.

Our core Christian School Values are: FAITH, HOPE & LOVE This year we will explore the core values through: Hope, Perseverance, Generosity, Respect, Courage and Friendship.
