Tuesday 4th July
Today we had our music concert in school. We played 'Popcorn 2' on the boomwhackers, sang a pop medley and the song 'Love As Our Guide.
On Wednesday 28th June we had Harry, from Splats-Learning through Fun, visit us to teach us circus skills. We had the opportunity to try juggling with bean bags and scarves, balancing peacock feathers on our hands, spinning plates on a stick, peddling fund wheels and walking on stilts as well as flipping flower sticks, plus catching Diablos.
We loved it so much and now all want to joint the Circus!
In Maths we have been learning all about directions, left, right, clockwise, anti-clockwise, forwards, backwards, quarter turn, half turn and full turn.
Wednesday 21st June
In Cricket today we learned to create a wide powerful base to throw from and to aim towards the target with our non throwing arm.
In PE on a Wednesday this term, Miss Hill is coming in to teach us cricket skills. Today we learned how to bowl using our dominate hand and moving our arms like a rainbow.
Please ensure that your child has their PE kit in a bag in school along with a sun hat and a bottle of drink for every Wednesday.
Welcome back to Term 6.
Our topic this term is 'Ready, Steady, Sow'. In Maths we are looking at multiplication and division. In English we will be learning to understand instructions and how to write them. Our PE days will be on Tuesdays and Wednesdays so please ensure your child comes to school in their school uniform and has their full NAMED PE kit in a bag on their peg as these days can easily change due to unforeseen circumstances.
Oak class will continue to invite you to come in at 3pm on Tuesday afternoon to listen to your child read.
Please can every child in Oak class make sure that they have a named drink bottle with them everyday, as keeping hydrated is vitally important.
