Term 6

Tuesday 17th June 2025

Today we had a visit from Sarah  who works for Dentaid, The Dental Charity.  She came to talk to us about looking after our teeth.

We learnt that we have 28 teeth and that we could get up to 4 wisdom teeth when we are 18.

Sarah told us that on an electric toothbrush with a round head, the coloured bristles in the middle show us how much toothpaste to use.

The children in Oak class should be using the amount of toothpaste the size of a pea.  We need to brush our teeth for 2 minutes in a circular direction to make sure we brush the whole tooth.

We have to brush our tongue and just spit out afterwards.  Don't put any water or mouthwash in your mouth after brushing your teeth because we will wash the fluoride away.  Use mouthwash before brushing you teeth every morning and every night.  Sarah gave everyone of us a toothbrush, toothpaste, booklet and sticker.

Thursday 12th June 2025

Today we had a visit from Tom Barker who works for Lincolnshire County Council to talk to us about our emotions.  We learned different techniques to help us deal with our emotions and we learned that is ok to be sad or worried or angry!

Wednesday 4th June 2025

Today all the children in Year 1 & 2 attended the Music Festival at Ayscoughfee School.  We were the youngest children there and all the other schools commented on how fabulous our children behaved.  We performed our songs, learnt new songs, had a picnic and tried a bit of body percussion.

A wonderful day was had by all!
