TERM 3
Welcome back to 2025 and Term 3. Our topic this term is 'The Great Fire of London'.
On Wednesday 12th February we re-created the 'Great Fire of London'.
What a fantastic end to an incredibly interesting topic!
Tuesday 21st January 2025
Today Christina taught us the three rules when eating:
- Sit
- Chop
- Chew
When we eat our food we sit, chop and chew every time!
We then chopped potatoes for Woody's stew using a knife and fork properly.
We talked about choking and getting an adults attention quickly if this happens. Christina taught us how to do back slaps and we practised on Woody. We then shared the story 'Sit, Chop, Chew'.
All the children will get a 'First Aid Certificate' to take home.
Thursday 16th January 2025
Christina and Woody the teddy from Mini First Aid came in to teach us first aid and how to help people. She asked everyone to go home and to learn their home address off by heart ready for next week. Your child is also coming home with a first Aid Activity book.
Friday 10th January 2025
In Art this week we named the primary colours and then practised colour mixing using powder paints to explore the secondary colours. We also looked at how different amounts of each colour changes the shade we get.
Please make sure your child has the following items in school with them everyday:-
- A coat
- A named drinks bottle
- Their home/school link book
- Their PE kit
On Mondays please ensure they bring in their reading books, reading records and blue homework books.
On Fridays please ensure they bring in their yellow spelling book.
We would like to thank everyone for the kind Christmas cards and presents at the end of last term.
