We have had a great week, with a PJ day, games, movies, and a PARTY. Unfortunately, we have had to say goodbye to Mrs Herd who is moving on to another teaching job closer to home, we want to wish her all the best for the future. Although this is sad news, we can't wait to welcome Miss Wolf to our class in January.
All of Elm class would like to wish you all a wonderful Christmas and New year and we look forward to 2025 and what it will bring.

CHRISTMAS WEEK
In PSHE the focus was how to be a critical consumer and what is value for money. This led us to debate the pros and cons of buying wonky carrots over straight carrots.
We finished our topic by designing a traditional Mayan mask. Some designed a celebratory mask while others designed a death mask.
After recently completing practise SAT's papers, the children were keen to find out how they performed. We reviewed the papers, giving us an opportunity to highlight where they could have picked up extra marks.

We were excited to watch the Reception class perform the nativity on Monday.

This week, Elm Class have shown great resilience whilst completing their first set of practice SATs papers and Mrs Twelves and Mrs Herd are extremely proud of them. This will not be the only practise they do before May, as practise will help the children to familiarise themselves with the questions and the pace required to complete all of the questions in the time allowed.
