Our first two days were busy getting to know each other, deciding on our class rules and setting the scene for the coming term.

Description

We use the collected conkers to start our description work before starting to look at the two different pumpkins.

Pumpkins

A HUGE thank you to Jaxx's Grandad who sent in lots of different pumpkins. We straight away got to work describing them using a range of strong adjectives/expanded noun phrases before slicing them open to compare the inside with the outside.

PE- Fundamentals

Our first PE unit to to cover/recap/strengthen our fundamental skills such as balance, running, catching, throwing, etc, all to develop our core strength. Emilia was busy today taking LOTS of photos.smiley

Pumpkin Problems!

On Monday morning, we were amazed (and disgusted) at what had happened to the pumpkins that had been cut open last week! Luckily, Miss Woolf brought us some more from the Moulton Show.

Base 10 Skills

Year 2s have continued to impress with how quickly they have got use to understanding and partitioning 2digit numbers using Base 10.
