Welcome to Oak Class.

Our class teacher is Mrs Whittaker and our class teaching assistant is Mrs Stanley.

We also have 1:1 support from Miss Hadfield, Mrs Bailey, Mrs Russell (am) and Mrs Bettyes (pm).

Mrs Nicholls will be covering PPA one day per fortnight and Justyna from Lincolnshire Music Services will be teaching music to Oak class one session per week.

P.E.

Our PE days are Monday and Tuesday each week.  Children will need to come to school in their uniform and then get changed into their PE kits at the start of the lesson.  It is a good idea to keep your child's PE kit at school to avoid leaving them at home on those days.

Bottles

Please send your child into school every day with a named drinks bottle.

Homework

Homework will go out on a Friday and is due back by the following Friday.  Each week Maths will be linked to what we have been learning the the spellings will ready for the spelling test every Friday.  Look, Cover, Write, Check is a great way to help them learn their spellings.  Practising just once every night really does make a huge difference.

Reading

Your child will bring home a reading book every Thursday which needs to be returned by the following Monday, in order for other children to enjoy that book.  Please write a note inside their reading diary to let us know you have listened to them read and how they got on.

Topic

Our topic  this term is 'Where We Live' and in Science we will be learning about Seasons and Plants.
