⚡ Science: Let There Be Light!  We have made a bright start to our new Science topic this term — **Electricity!** ⚡  On Thursday 17th, the children became electrical engineers for the afternoon, using basic circuit components to build their **own working circuits**. They had to think carefully about how to connect the components together and investigate what was needed to make their light bulb shine.  There were plenty of moments of **“YES! IT WORKS!”** as the bulbs began to light up! 💡✨  It was fantastic to see the children working collaboratively, solving problems, testing their ideas and learning from circuits that didn't quite work the first time.  A brilliant first investigation into electricity — and we can't wait to see what else we can make happen this term! ⚡💡

🌿 A Fantastic First Day in Willow!  What a fantastic first day we have had in Willow Class!  Our first day was all about getting to know one another, settling into our new classroom and beginning our journey together — and the children have absolutely embraced it! We have already seen so many smiles, lots of laughter and some fantastic examples of kindness, confidence and curiosity.  To make our first day even more memorable, it also happened to be Make a Silly Face Day! 🤪 So, of course, Willow Class fully embraced the challenge! There were some truly hilarious faces, plenty of giggles and lots of personality on show.  It has been wonderful to see the children already beginning to feel at home in Willow and getting stuck into everything the day had to offer.  We have had a brilliant start to what promises to be a very exciting year. 🌿  Well done, Willow — what a way to start! 💚
