Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
We started the week off on Monday with lots of fun and adventure as we visited Caythorpe Manor PLG outdoor adventure centre. We scaled the climbing wall, shot arrows, glided on a zipwire and found numbers using orienteering instructions. A great time was had by all and the children reported to school Tuesday morning saying they slept very well.
On Wednesday, Holly Class took themselves round the village on a litter pick. The class have been learning about our Blue Planet and how it is changing due to human’s activities. They have learnt about how litter often ends up being blown into waterways which then leads out into the seas and oceans helping to create the Ocean Garbage Patches which affect wildlife. Microplastics and toxins in the water have caused much discussion which led the children to want to do their part to help by litter picking. The class already has a lunch time Wombles Club led by the Eco Warriors which has been successful this year.
Next, the class hope to be able to take part in a beach clean at Hunstanton in June- watch this space!
